Overview
The PL-M30S is set up specifically for stainless steel, where the mark has to survive passivation, handling and cleaning. A 30 W Raycus or JPT source produces a 0.02 mm minimum line width, and the 130–150 ns pulse width gives a clean, oxidation-controlled mark on 304 and 316 grades.
The 1064 nm wavelength is absorbed well by stainless steel, so marking is fast and repeatable without pre-treatment. It suits parts that need traceability marking — batch numbers, serials, logos — carried through the rest of the production process.
